For the twenty-fifth anniversary of CRUCIAL BLAST, we are stoked to present the first in a series of Crucial Blast shirts featuring brand-new commissioned art from our favorite visual artists. This design features the gnarly collage art of Cody Drasser, guitarist for the acclaimed New York prog-death outfit AFTERBIRTH and grave ambient project CAULBEARER, as well as a highly skilled visual artist in his own right; we've been longtime fans of Drasser and his music/art, with several releases from him in the C-Blast catalog..

Amazingly, this is actually the first time ever that we've issued a CRUCIAL BLAST design. After 25 years, the time is now!

This is a second design that I worked on in late 2010 with Romain from Vomir which we've finally gotten around to printing up for Crucial Blast. This design features a two-color front print depicting the Vomir logo and the legend "HNW" printed in white ink, and art from the woodcut "On the Source and Origin of Monks" from the Catholic Reformation period in the mid 1500's, depicting a trio of demons engaged in monk-excretion and other vile activities while roosting on a hangman's gallows. This design is professionally printed on black Gildan brand 100% cotton garments, and we have them available in sizes small through extra large .

A new print that features the visage of our current favorite architect of HNW, France's Vomir. The Renonce disc that we just issued through our Crucial Blaze line is just the latest in an ongoing campaign of aural devastation that Vomir has been immersed in for the past couple of years, and in our opinion, his work continues to rank as some of the finest (and purist) harsh noise out there right now. Personally, we've been obsessed with Vomir's output going back to the Proanomie disc that came out on At War With False Noise a few years ago, and have been trying our best to collect everything that he's released (much to the befuddlement of those associates of ours that don't "get" HNW). We never stood a chance at picking up any of the rare shirt designs that have been released for Vomir in the past, however, so we made the move to work on a brand new piece with Vomir to make available through Crucial Blast; the result is the Renonce shirt, featuring a front and back print in dark grey ink on a black Gildan 100% shirt, the front featuring an image of Vomir himself, bagged and isolated, with the "Renonce" text across it, and the back has the text "Vomir - HNW" printed along the top shoulder position of the shirt. The shirts are professionally screenprinted, of high quality, and the design is limited to 70 shirts and that's it, in sizes small through XXL.

ZU Tom Araya Is Our Elvis SHIRT (BLACK GARMENT)

The Italian aggro-jazz/prog/math rock trio Zu demonstrates once again why they are one of my favorite sax-driven, jazz-blasting, head-crushing bands on the planet with this shirt design that proudly declares their adoration of thrash metal and, specifically, the front man for thrash legends Slayer. The legend "Tom Araya is our Elvis" is proclaimed across the front of this black shirt in large metallic silver lettering, positioned right next to a large upside-down cross with the band name ZU printed in black along the top. This shirt is printed onto Fruit of the Loom brand 100% cotton black tees in sizes small through extra-large. The shirt design was released by Public Guilt, who also put out the Zu's Observing the Armies in the Battlefield 7" and the deluxe vinyl edition of their 2005 album The Way of the Animal Powers. We're now the official mail order for this Zu shirt since we've taken over regular mail-order for the Public Guilt catalog, so this is one of the only places that you can snag this shirt from.
